smithyman 199

199

Questions, not firm answers.
A common ground, of figures in fog, shifting
shapes, voices which aren't quite heard.
Someone getting in on an act? A disciple
or disciple of disciple? doesn't
come clear.
What does seem clearer:
apparently nobody talked this time round
about nakahi.

Kia ora Mars,

delighted to see you're still enjoying Atua Wera! I'm heading up to the Hokianga tomorrow to visit (in some cases revisit) some of the sites mentioned in the poem, as part of the research for a book I'm doing on Smithyman. Have you spent much time up there? It's one of my favourite parts of the world.

just passed through but i'd love to spend more time up there. i have to say i have developed a bit of a love affair with Smithyman - thanks for that :)

My only issue is blogspot is not a great fan of formatting so any indents struggle to show...

Can't wait to read your book

Do you ever get down to nelson?
