we celebrate life
I'm off to a funeral/celebration for a 33 year old on Sunday. It's heartbreaking but there is no point asking the question, why? It is the time to celebrate the life of kelly, it is time to support josh and their two young children. It is a time to laugh and cry. And we will be doing all that. The celebration will be at the beach, we have been asked to dress colourfully. Kelly loved the beach and anyone seeing us tomorrow will be astounded by the spectacle. We will send kelly off with love and with gratitude. It really shows the value of community when people come together for a tangi. In rotorua another soul is being loved on his way. In every part of the world someone is weeping goodbye to a loved one. Although we seem so different sometimes, in actual fact, we are so alike.
