Today though, it leaves me in an new, empty space. Everything that I had given for the past 6 years, was over. The future looked like more hard work but we were ready to give it. Heck, our old people had done the mahi for over 100 years to regain the Urewera. It wasn’t about taking the money and leaving the situation for future generations – the challenge was to address the injustice and to restore our homelands.I encourage you to read the whole post it is awesome.
