This is a fantastic photo. I love the way the crowns of the kanuka have grown right up to one another but without encroaching on their neighbour's space or sunlight. Maybe there is something we (as humans) can learn from that.

Yikes. Trees don't produce CO2 and don't burn fossil fuels too but they also don't show a lot of care for their young and tend to go up in flames.. lessons from trees should be weighed against the hippy-lunacy of such notions.
