star bright moon night
I am celebrating tonight - the summer solstice and a lunar eclipse. Here in Mohua the clouds are lifting and I believe the view will be awesome. Perfect for me and a mate to drum, and drink and chat. Catching up with friends and sharing experiences - that is so important and at this time of year we have the perfect excuse, if we need one, and i don't. :)
The clouds did not clear for the eclipse but we did have an awesome moon rainbow that was very big because the clouds were low. When the moon came through a meteor flashed by - stunning - the moon bright over shimmering water.
The sky was clear down here Marty and I took photos. I'll post one on my blog for you to see though there will be professional shots somewhere on the net.
I am SOOOOOOOO jealous!!!! It was the winter solstice and eclipse here and the skies were heavy with snow clouds blotting out everything as it has done for weeks now GRRRRRRrrrr!!! I have almost forgotten what The Moon even looks like!!!

This is confusing Marty - I've read that the eclipse was this morning - the night of the 20th/21st. You'll know soon enough I guess.
You're right Marty - the sky's full of it!
Very good mate - i like it.
