thanks for the compliments - they are amazing birds and although i haven't seen a kereru for ages - all of a sudden two have set up home next door to me - abundance!
I think you are right about the magpies BB - luckily we don't have any here.

ReplyDeleteWe had a tui arrive to siphon our wai korari with a head so yellow with harakeke pollen that he looked like another sort of bird!
when I was in the UK, amongst the strange expanse of concrete, the call of the tui carried me home to Aotearoa. Every time I hear one, I feel blessed.
